newlogotiny2 hosts an in-store wine tasting most every Saturday afternoon from 4-7 pm so that you can have an opportunity to explore one or more of our unique selection, possibly discover a new varietal, or expand your "taste portfolio" of a particular country. Drop on by.
 

Past Tastings

Chateau Proms-Bellevue Graves '03
Wonderful Bordeaux blend of 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot with dark plum and blackcurrant fruit and smooth finish. This wine is perfect for steak, sharp cheese--or just plain hamburger.

Domaine d'Eole Coteaux D'Aix-En-Provence '02
This Provencal organically produced wine has a lovely nose, dark fruit and a hint of chocolate on the finish. A perfect match for grilled meat, sharp cheese, and rich sauces.

2001 Ritratti Pinot Nero (R) Trentino (Italy)
This rich and lush Pinot Noir is THE perfect summer red. Serve it with grilled salmon or smoked fatty cheeses.


2002 Chateau Belingard Bergerac Sec
(W) France
This wine is light and dry with a touch of citrus, perfect for warm summer evenings.

2002 Scheurebe Dienheimer Kabinett (Germany)
Clean and off dry white with great peachy fruit. A unique wine perfect for summer sipping. Famous wine expert Jancis Robinson says Scheurebe "is the one... varietal that deserves attention from the wine connoisseur..."

Xinomavro Amindeo Rosé,  Greece
This clean, crisp, and dry Rose coming from the cool, high vineyards of Northern Greece has a hint of strawberry on the nose and is perfect for summer.

2002 Prieure Saint-Hippolyte Rose
Coteaux du Languedoc is perfect for sunny days. A 50-50 blend of syrah and grenache.
